Loss of a Name
A millennium old system of controlling divine power is seeking a method to renew and improve its dominance. Hoping to appease certain establishments, a better selection of innocents is performed in a final operation. What happens is something no one would have thought possible
Four mature men are transformed and sent to a world very different than their own. Adjusting to their new bodies and surroundings is more complicated than they realize, because the world is forced to adjust to them.

It was around the turn of the millennia and I had a new wife. Things were going well, but I wanted to assure myself that I could do around her the very thing that my first wife did not like about me. I thus sat down to write a story. Wondering what to write, I thought of my novels about a group of friends attempting to resolve a problem that had changed them. Realizing that the actual events of their early days had never been written down, I began writing wondering if my present wife would gripe. She did not, and this story became a reality (my second wife had her own problems, but being a bitch really was not one of them).
It was difficult to write, because I had an established outline. While I had not actually written the tale, my notes basically had the events set down. Now, I am very bad a following an outline. I thus feared that this book would go off on some alternate train of thought. It did not, and I ended the book really amazed at what I had done.
This novel was published (for lack of a better word) by PublishAmerica. The only fault in the writing was its use of a floating PoV. There is thus a plan to rewrite using a fixed perspective, but every time I sit down to do that I only end up reading the story again. It will however happen one day.

Next step
I have actually worked through a rewrite of this novel. Do not know actually what happened, but my mind focused on the story and I stayed in the groove until done. Hopefully will move on to do more with this entire series.

Old cover
Yes, I drew that. I designed that cover as my suggestion for the original printing of the book. Even PublishAmerica proved that it had standards by not using it. They put together a fantastic cover, and I was amazed when the old blue thing of Jackal and Rain sold better. Anyway, I am planning to release "Loss of a Name" again, and thinking of my cover. I doubt that I will actually use this thing, but it is an idea.
